1 September 2007 meant more than just celebrating Arbour Day to Capespan Farms. It meant working side by side with Capespan farms’ workers, planting 2000 trees in unforgiving arid land of the Northern Cape and doing their bit in the fight to reduce the carbon footprint of industry. This initiative included visits to the then existing day-care facilities on each Capespan farm and by Christmas, Capespan Head Office employees got involved by donating presents to our farm workers’ children – still an ongoing annual project.
