Ready to go In the run-up to the 2009/10 Namibian grape season,Capespan Namibia estimates 1,3 million 4,5 kg cartons for export. Capespan Exports will market the fruit.

André Vermaak, managing director of Capespan Namibia, confirmed that 31,5 ha of Early Sweet had been planted at the Capespan-managed Namibia Grape Company. At this stage the season is five to seven days earlier compared to previous seasons. He continued, "The forecast for the harvest is promising and we're excited about volumes, as well as better results compared to last year because of improved economic conditions."

In the next couple of years, Capespan Namibia looks forward to developing more vineyards and stepping up social development in Namibia.
