Hass

Appearance: The Hass has an oval shape with a small to medium sized pip. Fruit size is mainly medium and the flesh is creamy yellow. The skin is pebbly and a thick green colour which darkens to purple as the fruit ripens.

Owner of variety: Ripe characteristics show the skin darkening to a purple colour and the fruit giving in to gentle pressure. Hass is harvested from May to October in the warmer areas and July to October in the cooler areas.

Taste and texture: Eating is excellent with a nutty flavour.
